Mt. Clemens Recruiting Company HQ is located on Selfridge ANGB. Selfridge ANGB is a unique installation. The base population is composed of Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Coast Guard, and Border Patrol personnel from the Active, Reserve, and National Guard Forces. Selfridge ANGB was selected for closure and most of the facilities and services were closed in 2008 and it has now been turned over to the Michigan Air National Guard. the Garrison and TACOM HQ and many of the services moved to the Detroit Arsenal on 11 Mile Road in Warren, MI, only 20 miles away. Selfridge is located 21 miles north of Detroit on the shore of Lake St. Clair. The average temperatures range between 70 and 80 degrees Farenheit in the summer and +20 to -5 below degrees Farenheit in the winter. Fishing, hunting, skiing, golfing, swimming, boating, beaches, resorts and many camping areas are available throughout Michigan and Canada, as well as cultural opportunities of a large metropolitan city.
